Aholansaari is not only a modern tourist base and holiday centre, but also a historic island with a rich tradition dating back to the time of Paavo Ruotsalainen.
After warming up in the lakeside sauna, you can relax in the hut and enjoy a tasty snack at the Drop of Honey ("Hunayan Pisara"). Paavo's semi-dark hut is a place of worship and psalm-singing, which is very much a place for the Finnish soul to express itself.
Aholansaari is located near the town of Nilcia, close to the Takhko travel centre.
